Back at it with Victoria

After a period of time not creating, Victoria and I had an eagerness to grab the camera again. We both craved an adventure, so we set out with an idea. Victoria suggested a beautiful lake that would suit our artistic style perfectly. Moreover, she had an exciting idea to incorporate a wedding dress into our shoot. Off we went to the Goodwill store in search of a wedding dress that we could work with.

After some persistent searching, we finally found the one and only wedding dress in the store. The question remained, would it fit? Taking our chances, we bought it and headed to the location. On our way, Victoria prepared her makeup for the shoot. Once we arrived, it was time for the moment of truth. Victoria discreetly started putting on the dress in the parking lot, and after a brief struggle with her hips, it slid on perfectly. It was almost as if it was made for her. This was meant to be. Although the top was slightly big, it still looked great.

With our spirits high and cameras ready, we made our way to the water's edge and began shooting. This creative experience was exactly what I needed to shed the stress I had been carrying. My mental has been declining slightly and I needed a release. Working with Victoria was amazing per usual, and it felt like we hadn't missed a beat since our last collaboration. Time seemed to slip away as we got lost in the moment. We had a short break to swim but my mind kept telling me to create more.

“It never ceases to amaze me how Victoria transforms when the camera focuses on her.”

I didn't want the day to end, as I could have happily shot forever. Obviously I know that is unrealistic but our time together these days is harder to come by because we have both been so dang busy. However, as they say, all good things must come to an end. Eventually, hunger called us back, and we satisfied our appetites with delicious treats. Afterwards, we sought out Victoria's man-friend Tyler, who was fishing. We decided to meet-up with him and chat with him for awhile. The beautiful sunset was in the background as the day came to an end for us.

The day turned out to be nothing short of amazing, filled with doing what we love and spending quality time together. This is why it’s so important for me to get out and create. I will fight for my next creative day!!
